<p>Was looking at some slides from well typed (<a href="http://www.haskell.org/wikiupload/b/b4/HIW2011-Talk-Loeh.pdf">http://www.haskell.org/wikiupload/b/b4/HIW2011-Talk-Loeh.pdf</a>) which suggested that at some point cabal-install would be available as a lib.</p>

<p>I am currently trying to get cabal to play nicely with meta-build systems and it would be great if I could dump install plans in json or similar.</p>
<p>Is there anyone looking at this? Is it feasible? Would someone be available to mentor such a change if I volunteered some time?</p>
